THE HOODED ONE
A silent figure haunting the ruins of Erebos, the Hooded One appears without warning and vanishes just as mysteriously. Watching Sunset from the shadows, the figure seems to know where she is going—sometimes before Sunset herself does.
Whether guardian, hunter, or something else entirely, the Hooded One's identity and purpose remain hidden beneath the cloak. But one thing becomes increasingly certain: these encounters are no coincidence.
K'MILLAH
Queen K'Millah Gamal ruled her house with a strength tempered by compassion, earning the devotion of a people who regarded her as one of the greatest leaders they had ever known. But to Sunset, she was something far more important: her mother—and the center of a childhood now almost entirely lost to memory.
K'Millah died during the devastating attack that destroyed House Gamal, leaving behind a daughter too young and too traumatized to remember the woman who raised her. Yet as fragments of Sunset's past begin to emerge, so does the possibility that her mother knew far more about Sunset—and the forces gathering around her—than anyone realized.
CAPTAIN DYN
Commander of the DeBeaux Guard, Captain Dyn is a ruthless soldier whose loyalty to his House is matched only by his appetite for violence. A seasoned warrior and cunning leader, he carries out Madame DeBeaux's will without hesitation—and has little concern for who suffers in the process.
Where Dyn appears, the threat of House DeBeaux is rarely far behind.
PI-JOU
Madame DeBeaux's neglected daughter and Sarik's younger sister, Pi-Jou has spent much of her life surrounded by privilege—and starved for the one thing she wants most: attention. Reckless, spoiled, and increasingly desperate to be noticed, she has learned that bad behavior may be the quickest way to make certain no one can ignore her.
DEIA
Widely regarded as one of the wisest and most compassionate elders of the Onari, Deia serves as Overseer of Eliyah during one of the most uncertain periods in her people's history. Her term extended as war threatened their civilization, she carries the responsibility of guiding a society still living with the consequences of a devastating conflict with an artificial intelligence known as Terminus.
