Sunset
Sole survivor of House Gamal pure of heart but conditioned to be frightened and untrusting. injured into amnesia when she was kidnapped during the raid that destroyed her house and family she is unknowingly the last descendent of the dark god who created their world, making the power she weilds unimaginable. Still manifesting this power, she escapes DeBeaux’s palace and braves the horrific worldscape in order to find a legendary portal to a safer parallel world. the power passed down to her is called the Black Dynam and is the actual life force of the god Erebos. it’s a living dark energy that can envelop and smother, blast and destroy, or propel and levitate.
Sarik
Son of Madame DeBeaux. Betrothed to and in love with Sunset, against her wishes. His mother is vehemently insistent on him marrying her but we don't know why. Given to violence and fits of rage because of a serum created by his mother that his "best friend" Eidjo slips him on occasion, as part of a plot in which Sarik plays a major and tragic part. Almost as powerful as Sunset, he tries to win her back but will it ever work?
Madame DeBeaux
Main antagonist matriarch of House DeBeaux Sarik’s mother is evil to the core. She lied about Sunset’s family to gain allies to destroy them kidnapped sunset afterward in order to steal her power and live forever has a neglected but hard-partying daughter, Pi-Jou, whom she’s neglected. She uses sex to manipulate Sarik’s best friend, Eidjo is also violently sleeping with her female advisor, Cheri, on whom she takes out her anger and aggression. She's already nearly killed the poor girl.
Harax Lor
Attacks Sunset when he meets her, not recognizing her as an adult was her childhood instructor. 600 years old and having an unparalleled scientific mind, he himself advanced the civilization of his world, Erebos leaps and bounds in his lifetime. Due to his advanced years his body has become shrunken to the size of a child’s. Much of it was crushed when House DeBeaux decimated House Gamal in the attack that claimed Sunset’s family, her sovereign realm and her memory. Lor translated the world’s ancient bible, The Tome Magnum, and found the legendary portal between worlds and has been in exile in the otherworld with a rebuilt robotic body.
Eidjo Bal
Sarik’s best friend since childhood, Eidjo has always been envious of the prince, believing he only appeared to excel because of his lineage. His resentment drove him to plot against Sarik with Madame DeBeaux in the midst of a torrid affair. Clever but not bright, he’s always quick witted and charming, but cannot see future possibilities clearly. His resentment and jealous has been bubbling ever closer to the surface.
Vessa Excrutia
Sarik's cousin A dangerous operative with ties to House DeBeaux, her skills in espionage and assassination are legendary. Arguably the most dangerous warrior on Erebos, she is torn by many internal struggles. The strongest of which is remaining true to both a warrior's honor and her mistress, Madame deBeaux.
An Bal
The Prime Lady Attendent to Sunset’s mother, Queen K’Millah Gamal. An Bal lost barely survived the devastating attack from House DeBeaux. She was saved by the people of a secret city in the center of the Grimwood and reborn as a BioCria, a living machine.
Cheri
The closest advisor, and more, to Madame DeBeaux, Cheri is caught in a web of manipulation and violence that threatens to consume her.
